Contacting us in person – “face to face”

Although face to face contact with the County Council is less popular than over the telephone, face to face contact remains an important element of our approach. For some people, this will remain the preferred method of contacting us.

In order to make improvements to this form of contact we:

• Provide a network of Customer Centres – "One Stop Shops"

• Provide customers with access to County and District Council services as well as those of other partners as appropriate, e.g. the centre in Evesham also provides customers with access to Police services

• Offer a full and consistent service at each of the centres to allow 80% of enquiries to be dealt with at the first point of contact

• Recognise when to involve service specialists for more complex enquiries

• Hold regular "surgeries" for customers to meet with other service providers, e.g. probation service, older peoples forum

• Staff these centres with Customer Service Advisors who will assist customers and process enquiries on their behalf

• Make best use of the internet

• Make use of technology and consistent business processes across Worcestershire to capture, process and manage information associated with customer enquiries.
