Economic Well-being

  • Ensure that all young people are able to access appropriate education, employment and training opportunities and make progress.
  • Ensure all young people are equipped with essential life skills and have support to move successfully into adulthood.
  • Enable children and young people to grow up in prosperous communities.

Joint Area Review

The Joint Area Review, or JAR, is an inspection of all children’s services within a local area.
The aim of the JAR inspection is to see how well partners are improving outcomes in the area and whether they are providing joined-up services for children, young people, their parents and carers.

South Worcestershire Special Schools Review

Following the final decision on the future pattern of special school provision in South Worcestershire there is an urgent need to draw all the activities together into one overarching plan.

Wyre Forest Schools Review

Worcestershire County Council (WCC) is committed to raising educational standards and investing resources to improve opportunities for children and young people throughout the County and, as part of this, a rolling programme of area reviews has been taking place across Worcestershire.
