Avoncroft Picnic Place
 |
Birdsong rings in your ears as birds including Robins, Thrushes and Warblers nest in the surrounding trees and hedges in summer and feed on the hedgerow berries in winter. Wild flowers like Primrose and Honeysuckle show their glory in quiet corners of the site, and if that's not enough, there are all the facilities and interest of the neighbouring museum. |
The Avoncroft Museum of Buildings is fascinating. Seven centuries of English buildings have been carefully brought to the site and skilfully restored and re-erected. This truly unique collection of authentic buildings has many family activities and events.
