The University has long been noted for the high quality and innovative character of its early childhood provision and we continue to be at the fore-front of new and exciting developments. In this context, the Institute of Education is seeking to appoint additional inspirational, enthusiastic and excellent professional lecturers in Early Childhood with a commitment to integrated working across professional boundaries. Lecturers appointed will join a multi-disciplinary team in the planning and delivery of a range of courses which relate to the education and care of children from birth to eight years, within the context of their family and culture. Experience of leading/managing early years provision or services for young children and families would be an asset, as would experience of working in a multi-disciplinary team. We welcome lecturers from diverse disciplines and backgrounds, including child health, early years and social care. Several of our programmes are taught at different locations in the region, thus some flexibility and a willingness to travel will be important.
Programmes within the Centre for Early Childhood include sector-endorsed qualifications such as Foundation Degree in Early Years and Early Years Professional Status (EYPS) as well as undergraduate and postgraduate courses. Specific expertise to contribute to the range of courses will be expected. The successful applicant will also demonstrate an active interest in practice-based research and promoting professional development in the sector.
Short-listed candidates invited to interview will be required to give a ten-minute presentation to an audience from the Early Childhood team on the following topic:
“Outline and justify your perspective on the early childhood graduate and their potential contribution to services for children and families”
The chair of this group will provide feedback on the presentation to the interview panel.

We are seeking a self-motivated individual to assist a disabled employee in their job as a Trainer for West Mercia Constabulary by providing practical and administrative support. Main duties will include general administration, possible board work in front of a classroom, driving our employee to and from work, as well as around the surrounding counties to various training venues.
The successful candidate will have:
-a valid and current driving license, as well as have regular access to a private car,
-experience in a caring capacity,
-NVQ II in Care or be willing to work towards,
-good general education and good communication skills,
-An ability to work around/with guide dogs.
Our employee lives in Hereford, but the post will be based at West Mercia Constabulary Headquarters, therefore the successful candidate must be happy to commute.
This post is paid for by Access to Work, therefore the successful candidate should be willing to be self employed. The successful candidate will be required to be security cleared before the post can be undertaken.

Our multi-skilled Customer Service Advisors are essential to the delivery of the One Stop service. As well as working as part of a team to provide information and advice, the Customer Service Advisors carry out cashiering and clerical duties.
We are looking for a self motivated person who is prepared to take a pro-active approach to problem solving and is capable of using their own initiative.
Successful candidates will have:
• good communication and interpersonal skills;
• IT/keyboard skills;
• cash handling experience;
• excellent customer service skills, with previous experience in a busy customer services environment, dealing directly with members of the public.
• the ability to provide a friendly, efficient service, at times under great pressure.
The Droitwich Community Contact Centre is open from 9.00am to 5.00pm Monday to Friday and 9.00am – 12.30pm on Saturdays. You will be required to work one Saturday per month as part of your standard hours.
The successful candidate will have to undergo a Police security check and be prepared on occasions to work at Pershore and Evesham Community Contact Centres.
